Terms of Service

These terms govern use of marqueehq.io and the event sites, ticketing and check-in tools Marquee HQ provides ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to them.

Organizers and attendees

Organizers are organizations that create events on the Service. Attendees are people who buy tickets, tables or sponsorships for those events. The organizer, not Marquee HQ, is the seller of the ticket and is responsible for the event, its content, admission and refund decisions.

Fees

Platform fees are shown all-in at checkout before an attendee pays. Current community-rate pricing is published at marqueehq.io/#pricing. Card processing fees are charged by Stripe and pass through to the transaction. Signature and Chapter Hub services are quoted and invoiced separately.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe and paid to the organizer's own Stripe account. Refund policies are set by the organizer and shown on the event page. Marquee HQ platform fees on refunded orders are refunded when the organizer refunds the full order within 30 days of purchase.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for unlawful events, to sell tickets you do not have the right to sell, to collect information deceptively, or to interfere with the Service or other users. We may suspend events or accounts that violate these terms.

Content and brand

Organizers keep ownership of their names, logos and content and grant Marquee HQ a license to display them on their event site. Marquee HQ keeps ownership of the Service, its design and software.

Disclaimers and limits

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marquee HQ is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees paid to Marquee HQ for the event concerned in the 12 months before the claim.
